Young Prosthodontic Educators'
Workshop

 The First Young Prosthodontic
Educators' Workshop took place in Karlsruhe, Germany in October 2006.
It was organized and run by the Editorial Board of the International Journal of
Prosthodontics and strongly endorsed by the International College of
Prosthodontists. A full report on the first Workshop is included in the 2007,
IJP issue #4 (July/August). Its acknowledged success demands future
workshops.

As with the recent 2006
meeting, attendance will be limited to 36 participants from different
countries with the participating 12 teaching faculty members selected from the
IJP's Editorial team. Acceptance of attendance will be based on
acceptable criteria and submission of application. All applications will
be reviewed and selections made by the Education and Research Committee of the
ICP.
Criteria
-
 Candidates should be
at an "early career" stage of their teaching commitment and must be currently
contracted to a 50 - 100% teaching position in the discipline.

Candidates must also be a
current ICP member.

Candidates are requested to
submit an application and recent or current CV.

Include a short essay as to
how such a Workshop could impact his or her professional development.

Application must be endorsed
by the applicant's departmental chairperson.

participants will be informed on May 30th.
Funding
The
ICP and
Nobel Biocare
have generously accepted the role of Co-Sponsors and
their contributions will ensure that costs to attendees are minimized.
Candidates are expected to obtain their own funding for travel and lodging.
Limited coverage of travel expenses may be reimbursed to the candidate, based on demonstration of need.
